HollyFrontier Lubricants & Specialties has launched Petro-Canada Lubricants Sentron SP 30, a SAE 30 stationary gas engine oil, approved to meet MAN Truck & Bus AG’s latest M 3271-5 and M 3271-2 specifications.

Sentron SP 30 is formulated for high brake mean effective pressure engines operating under high loads and high and low temperature conditions. The oil is formulated with the latest additive technology in combination with Petro-Canada Lubricants-branded ultra-pure, high viscosity index base oil.

Sentron SP 30 offers superior thermal and oxidation/nitration stability to that of SAE 40 grade oils.

“The launch of Sentron SP 30 is a first-of-its-kind innovation in stationary gas engine oil technology, which is why it’s the first SAE 30 stationary gas engine oil to be approved for the MAN M 3271-5 and M 3271-2 specifications,” said Tony Weatherill, SVP, Commercial, Americas, HollyFrontier Lubricants & Specialties. “I’m delighted that we’ve anticipated and met the latest OEM requirements and that our specialty base oil has enabled us to develop this advanced-performance product and secure this approval.”
